Hotel Klosterbräu*****s

Luxury wellness in Tyrol

The small village Seefeld in Tyrol (Austria) is not only known for its humongous net of cross country ski tracks, running and hiking paths, but also for the luxury hotel “Klosterbräu” which is located directly in the center of Seefeld. The now five-star wellness hideaway is a former 16th century Augustinian monastery which has – Wellnesshotel-Klosterbraeu-Seefeld-in-Tirol_001under the management of six generations of the family Seyrling – become one of the hotspots when it comes to spend a little bit of time with your loved one (and a little bit more of money). Klosterbräu offers a huge variety of spa treatments, such as massages, saunas and indoor- and outdoor pool. Those who want to be active outdoors will benefit from the breathtaking and unspoiled countryside of Seefeld. Or do you feel a little bit more like spending a day sightseeing? Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol, is not far away and worth a visit.

What we liked – sides from the luxury you just need (or want) from time to time? Every room, from the lobby to the restrooms, makes you feel like a princess (or prince, in his case) and so does the service staff. The hotel is family-owned; the whole family is not only living in the hotel but also with their guests. You can always have a nice chat with them, they are always friendly and honestly interested in talking to their guests. Oh, and when it comes to honesty: Around Klosterbräu is some sort of community garden, where not only the hotel but also villagers grow herbs, fruit and vegetables, which are also used for the hotel’s kitchen. And the spa – just awesome!

Luxus-Wellnesshotel-Klosterbraeu-Seefeld-Tirol-3When having a stroll around the building it’s very likely that you’re going to “meet” one of the hens that is providing your breakfast egg. The Seyrlings go in for organic produce and a sustainable way of living. That’s why we not only loved the breakfast but every single meal that was provided there. If you get a chance to stay there, you should definitely reserve the chef’s table. You’ll be seated in the kitchen and will watch the whole staff while they’re cooking for you (and the other guests).

A very, very lovely thing: Hotel Klosterbräu lets you not only bring your dog but provides special services for it! You want to enjoy your day in9541410 the spa area? A dogsitter is going to take care of your pup; you can order special meals for it and use the doggy park of the hotel. And of course you can take it with you to explore the surrounding nature. All in all it’s a very lovely establishment, but be sure to bring the right companion. They focus on romance, so naturally it’s not that perfect for kids or traveling alone or with – let’s say – your whole family or best friend. Definitely one of my top-picks if it comes to spending a few cold, snowy winter days with a new love.
