One of the stops during my last roadtrip through Arizona was – of course – Flagstaff. The town itself is really nice and a heaven for foodies. One of the little shops on the main street was outstanding, even though it was “just” a simple frozen yogurt store.
I liked the interior with its space themed walls, the nerd that was with me loved the Star Wars decor, we both were astounded by the huge variety of frozen yogurt, toppings, milk shakes and coffee drinks you can get there. As it’s a self-service shop, you can take your time, wander around and get whatever your heart desires. Frozen yogurt is one of my guilty pleasures, so of course I felt like in heaven.
The toppings were all fresh and kept cold, the whole place looked very clean and hygienic and of course you find the contains-wheat-information where appropriate. You can either sit down at one of the black-painted tables and chairs or take your food to go.
But what was most impressive: The owner of the shop and his mom. They were so friendly, really lovely and very interested in where we came from and what our plans in Flagstaff were. As soon as we mentioned the Lowell Observatory and our plans to go there, they gave us two free tickets for it. Just amazing. Everyone who’s in the area should pay a visit to this small business. It’s worth it!
