Facebook told me that it’s been more than two months since you guys heard from me for the last time. Well, with everything that’s happening so fast and all the travelling I feel like it’s been closer to three months. Sorry for that. But now we’re back and have a few new gems we’d like to share with you guys. This time it’s the beautiful hotel called Stage 12 by Penz in Innsbruck, the capital city of Austria’s county Tyrol.
The hotel is not only design-wise a beautiful addition to an already pitoresque city but also when it comes to the location of the hotel. 120 rooms are awaiting guests, all of them were designed by renowned architects. They come in different sizes and styles. We were lucky, cause we had one of those rooms with a mountain view and a balcony. It’s just great, cause you can see the famous mountains of the Nordkette while lying in bed.
Inside the room a lot of gray, turquoise and gold colors await guests, the amenity kit is of a good quality and here and there you’ll find some funny twists, such as a “do not disturb sign” saying “make my room great again”. There’s a gym and also a small wellness area with a sauna and some nice relaxing rooms. We saw them but didn’t use them, because in front of the hotel you’ll find Innsbruck with it’s vibrant colors, the lovely people, little shops and amaaahzung food. Try for example the little italian restaurant called Trattoria Due Sicilie.
By the way: The hotel is partly located within historical walls and partly a modern, new building. We did enjoy our stay a lot and might stop by again. Drinking wine on that balcony while working and glancing towards the mountains from time to time was lovely.
